Girl in thought

"What am I going to do?"

When you first found out you were pregnant you probably thought "Why Me?" "I can't believe this is happening!' 'What am I going to do?'

If you are pregnant you’ve got some important decisions to make. You owe it to yourself to take the time to explore your options and decide what is best for you and the tiny person growing inside of you.

This page will not give you a lot of facts and figures, or reasons you should or should not consider abortion as a solution to your unplanned pregnancy. Instead, we have included for you links to some of the most accurate and valuable resources that we could find. Contact a Pregnancy Center near you for more information.

Some say, 'It's your own body, so you have the right to choose.'

Abortion may seem like an easy way out, but it is not. Typically, pregnancies aren't even detected until the 6th week. By then, your baby’s heart has been beating for three weeks, brain waves detected, the nervous system is complete and she will begin moving soon, although you will not feel it for three more months.

With all this in mind, can you still honestly believe that abortion is just a matter of controlling your own body? There are now two of you to consider. Abortion obviously does nothing to help your unborn child, and statistics show that it may have serious, far reaching consequences for you.

Legally, no one can force you to choose parenting, adoption or abortion. Only you, the birth mother have the right to make any of these choices. Don’t allow yourself to be talked or forced into a decision that you may regret for years to come.
